As mental health counselors\u2019 participation is vital to the sustainability of these platforms, it is critical to understand how counselors react to the introduction of chatbots. Drawing on social comparison and social identification theories, this study examines the causal impacts of chatbot introduction on counselors\u2019 participation behaviors. Leveraging a quasi-natural experiment from a leading Chinese OMHC that deployed chatbots during the study period, it employs a regression discontinuity design to identify the treatment effects. The results reveal a double-edged sword effect of chatbot introduction on counselor participation. Specifically, after the introduction of chatbots, the motivation of counselors to provide answers has diminished, reflecting that counselors would \u201cflee\u201d from chatbot-induced competition. Concurrently, counselors would provide more differentiated answers to enhance competitiveness, particularly differentiating their answers from chatbot-generated answers, reflecting that counselors would \u201cfight\u201d against chatbot-induced competition. Bayesian multilevel structural equation modeling was employed to examine both individual level and cross-department level factors. At the individual level, the model tested how circadian rhythm disruption influences burnout and intention through the mediating role of mental health (i.e., depression). At the departmental level, the model assessed the cross-level moderating effect of departmental night shift workload on the pathway from circadian rhythm disruption to depression. To capture nurses&#8217; circadian rhythm disruption characteristics, this study proposes an innovative management-oriented indicator . Results indicate that, circadian rhythm disruption significantly predicts nurses&#8217; depression degrees, with depression mediating its impact on burnout and turnover . Balancing these two aspects offers new opportunities for responding to public health emergencies. This paper studies a two-tier pharmaceutical supply chain consisting of an AI pharmaceutical firm and a medical institution, examining three scenarios\u2014no sharing, data sharing with low privacy protection, and data sharing with high privacy protection\u2014under both normal and emergency conditions. The results show that: (1) sharing patient data under either low or high privacy protection enhances producer surplus, patient surplus, and social welfare; (2) when drug development is highly difficult, low-privacy data sharing is preferred during emergencies to support R&amp;D, whereas when it is less difficult, high-privacy data sharing better balances R&amp;D efficiency and privacy protection; and (3) regardless of whether the AI firm, medical institution, patients, or government determines the data-sharing level, the outcomes remain consistent.
