However, errors in Autonomous Driving Systems (ADS) may lead to disruptive economic damages, even the loss of human lives. Therefore, it is meaningful to analyze the potential hazard for ADS once some failures have been exposed during testing. However, different from classical programs, ADS is complex, containing various components performing different tasks. Thus, testing ADS is challenging. In this report, we introduce some state-of-art studies that address ADS testing, i.e., designing different scenarios and running the ADS simulators under different driving conditions. These works focus on identifying the &#8220;interesting&#8221; scenarios that may expose the potential system hazard. Moreover, they use a search-based approach to generate a high-quality test suite to cover these &#8220;interesting&#8221; scenarios. According to specific testing goals, different generic strategies with various objective functions have been proposed.
