Emphasis will be placed on the axiomatic assumptions necessary for these shape constrained estimators to be consistent. Methods for shifting the conditional mean estimate to construct a frontier estimate will be discussed. Both smooth estimators and piece-wise linear nonparametric estimators will be considered.
