12th Japanese-Hungarian Symposium on Discrete Mathematics and Its
Applications

Dear Colleague,
below please find the first announcement of the 12th Japanese-Hungarian
Symposium on Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications to be held in
Budapest, Hungary, between March 21, 2023 and March 24, 2023.
As part of the long history of cooperation among Japanese and Hungarian
scientists in the field of discrete mathematics, the 1st Japanese-Hungarian
Symposium on Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications took place in Kyoto
in
1999. The participants decided to continue their existing cooperation on a
more regular basis and have established a biennial series of conferences.
The 2nd,
4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th Symposia took place in Budapest (in 2001, 2005,
2009, and 2017)
and in Veszprem (2013) respectively, while the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th
in
Tokyo (2003, 2019), Sendai (2007), Kyoto (2011) and Fukuoka (2015),
respectively.
The 12th Symposium will jointly be organized by the Department of Operations
Research, Eotvos University, and by the Department of Computer Science and
Information Theory, Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
An Advisory Board, consisting of Andras Frank, Satoru Fujishige, Satoru
Iwata, Tibor Jordan, Gyula Y. Katona, Tamas Kiraly, Naoki Katoh, Kazuo
Murota,
Andras Recski, and Takeshi Tokuyama has been established.
The members of the Organizing Committee are Kristof Berczi, Tibor Jordan,
Gyula Y. Katona, Csaba Kiraly, and Gabor Wiener.
The Symposium will take place at Eotvos University, in Budapest, Hungary,
between
March 21-24, 2023.
